About Irrational Coaching

Irrational Coaching is me, **Ben Dowman**, and is where I offer 1-1 Coaching and Coach training. My broader working life also involves doing Organisational Development, Leadership Training and Facilitation which are related but separate from Irrational Coaching. I do these things in partnership with several other leading consultancies (see below).
My business is registered as Real People Consulting Ltd and I am the sole Director. This means I do all the coaching myself and can form in-depth partnerships with clients to provide a bespoke and personalised service. I also answer the phone, do my own invoicing and make the coffee in the morning.
When I’m not doing the above I love to rock climb and cycle and would describe myself as an athlete (albeit an amateur one). I live in the Lake District where I train regularly and am an active member of a cycling club. I also travel frequently in pursuit of vertical rock and sun-soaked tarmac.

Coaching Influences

I have a degree in Psychology and Mathematics (yes, it is an unusual combination at first glance) and am a qualified Teacher, NLP Trainer and Master Coach. I have also studied and have expertise in Emotional Intelligence, MBTI, Transactional Analysis, Organisational Constellations, Mindfulness and Provocative Therapy and all of these are influences on my coaching approach.

As well as 1-1 Coaching and Coach training my working life also involves doing Organisational Development, Leadership Training and Facilitation.

I am also an associate with several other privately owned consultancies working in the Aerospace industry, Manufacturing and NHS.
